Jeju Island: Perspectives of Anthropology and Jeju Studies This book was published to commemorate the retirement (February 28, 2022) of Professor Yoo Cheol-in, an anthropologist at Jeju National University. It is a collection of writings by those who have researched Jeju Island alongside him, examining the island and its people through the lens of anthropology and Jeju studies. From an anthropological perspective, Jeju studies, which deals with the island, is merely a part of it; however, from the perspective of Jeju studies, which encompasses the island's natural, humanities, and social fields, anthropology is just one part of it.
