Since shedding light on the art of the Wei-Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties period under the theme \"Chaos and Exchange: Ancient Art of Korea and China\" in 2011, the Society has held academic conferences on \"Tang Dynasty Chinese Art\" in 2018 and \"A Broad and Deep View of Chinese Art: The Archetype of Chinese Art, the Han Dynasty\" in 2019. This book was compiled based on the papers presented at the 2018 \"Tang Dynasty Chinese Art\" conference. The fact that various genres such as sculpture, Buddhist painting, tomb murals, ceramics, crafts, and architecture have been covered from the perspectives of Korean scholars is considered to reflect the growth of the Korean Society of Oriental Art History. To make the research achievements of scholars accessible to general readers, we have compiled them into monographs, adding brief explanations to each illustration and including a glossary. Our society has established the Academic Series Publication Committee to publish scholars' research in monograph form. This body serves as a channel for researchers to communicate their academic accomplishments with the public, transcending the narrow confines of academia. We believe that through this mutual communication between researchers and general readers, more in-depth research will gain a deeper understanding and resonate with the public. *A Broad and Deep View of Chinese Art* is scheduled to continue as a series covering the Han Dynasty, the Wei-Jin, and the Southern and Northern Dynasties.
